Take Your Accommodations’ Fun Level Much Higher by Investing in the Right HoverboardLloyd White
Let’s face it. The AIDS awareness is a very sobering and serious business, whether you work for a non-governmental organization, nonprofit or some sort of international agency or private company, it is easy to be down by the seriousness of your advocacy. This is a heavy duty stuff with any other professionals working to change the world to a better place through better health, HIV awareness and prevention.
Oftentimes, our work gets the better of us. There’s a lot of lives obviously at stake. There are just so many things riding on the success of our mission. It can be a bit too heavy sometimes you probably don’t need me to remind you of this fact. Thankfully, there are lots of HIV awareness and organizations all over the world that have a very holistic point of view when it comes to mental, emotional and psychological as well as physical health of their employees.
This is why a lot of these organizations are on the cutting edge of work and life balance as important as our work is. As crucial as our success to our mission and vision, we also need to achieve a more balanced life. After all, we’re not really doing anybody any favors if we burn ourselves in pursuit of our objectives. We don’t want to end up becoming unhealthy in our pursuit of all the changes of our life.
That is why many organizations have a balanced approach. They really go out of their ways to let their team members know that they can have fun at the same time engage in serious work that truly changes people’s lives. They can get down from time to time while engaging in the kind of work that truly touches people in a very deep and fundamental personal level.
One way, there are of course many ways to achieve this work-life balance. In many cases, it’s a question of scheduling while the other is a question of taking vacations in a year to charge one’s emotional, spiritual, psychological, and physical batteries. But, one way that has a fairly low impact at the same time has a profound effect on one’s move and frame of mind is to simply allow team members to ride a hoverboard in the office. It may not seem like much, but in fact, like in many cases, it might even seem some sort of cosmetic fix to a deeply fundamental issue like work and life balance.
You might be surprised as to how much fun a hoverboard is. You might be surprised as to how well your mental-emotional batteries can be recharged by this simple device. It didn’t take much to figure out why it has such an effect on people. After all, when you’re riding on the hoverboard it is like floating on air.
For a few minutes, your total attention is focused on the hoverboard because you don’t want to tip over. You don’t want to fall and you don’t want to injure yourself. These feelings are just what you need to center your purpose and keep things in perspective. Make no mistake about it. If you are in the world of AIDS awareness, HIV prevention and other heavy-duty causes, you need to take a break from time to time. You need to keep things in perspective and riding a hoverboard around the office or other nearby area should do the trick.
