Social marketing of the Hong Kong harm reduction campaign in 2002. Eye-catching wall banners and advertisements on bus are effective ways to advertise concepts.

Welcome to AHRN's Information Sharing Facility - your access to our Resource Centre and past editions of AHRNews.

Library
Over the last five years, AHRN has compiled a very comprehensive resource collection on drug use and HIV and AIDS in (and outside) Asia. This valuable collection of titles in electronic and printed formats is now available on-line via the AHRN Resources Database.

Currently, the library has 2,229 titles - 919 on-line and 1,310 off-line (printed). New titles are announced monthly through the ahrn-list discussion group, and quarterly via the AHRN Newsletter.

The titles are classified according to six main topics: drugs; drug use/injecting drug use; harm reduction; hepatitis and drug use; tuberculosis, sexually-transmitted infections, and other diseases; and HIV and AIDS.

Searching the AHRN Resources Database is easy using a simple keyword search. On-line titles can be downloaded as .pdf files, while off-line (printed) titles are available by contacting our Librarian or visiting the Resource Centre located at the AHRN Secretariat in Chiang Mai. In the future, these titles will include AHRN's CD-ROM and video collection.

For inquiries and publications to add to the AHRN Resource Centre, please contact the AHRN Clearinghouse Librarian at wathanees@ahrn.net.

Newsletter
Every four months, the AHRNews reaches over 2000 people and programs in 72 countries on AHRN's growing mailing list. Once inside a country, this newsletter is often copied and distributed to other people. Featuring in-country updates, conference reports and other articles on HIV and injecting drug use in Asia, the newsletter has become a catalyst and a voice for HIV and AIDS programmes across the region. We would like to see the newsletter and other AHRN resources translated into local languages (Hindi, Vietnamese, Thai, etc). But the strong readership and constant feedback being generated suggests that the newsletter is already an important vehicle for supporting HIV and AIDS and harm reduction initiatives in Asia.

AHRN Membership
