Over the last five years, AHRN has compiled a very comprehensive resource collection on drug use and HIV/AIDS in (and outside) Asia. This valuable collection of titles, in electronic and printed formats, is now available on-line via the AHRN Resource Centre.
Currently, the library has 2,229 titles - 919 on-line and 1,310 off-line (printed). New titles are announced monthly in the Daily News Digest on the website homepage, through email notice (see your personal information) and quarterly via the AHRN newsletter.
The publications are classified according to six main topic areas: drugs; drug use/injecting drug use; harm reduction; hepatitis and drug use; tuberculosis, sexually-transmitted infections, and other diseases; and HIV/AIDS.
Searching the AHRN Library is easy, using a simple keyword search. On-line titles can be downloaded as .pdf files, while off-line (printed) titles are available by contacting our Librarian or visiting the Resource Centre located at the AHRN Secretariat in Chiang Mai. In the future, these titles will include AHRNs CD-ROM and video collections.
Publications contained in the Resource Centre are being grouped under thematic categories in the Resources page of the AHRN website to facilitate searching.
Please note that the AHRN Resource Centre can be accessed also from the Secretariat, located in Chiang Mai, Thailand (see map). On-site visitors to the Secretariat can be benefit from the access to all on-line and off-line publications, along with a work space and assistance for projects. If you are interested in visiting the AHRN Resource Centre, please make an appointment with our Librarian.
